New York City businessman and entrepreneur Avi Oster has been keeping very busy this year. In addition to maintaining his highly successful Oster Properties real estate venture Mr. Oster has also been making a name for himself in the fashion industry by hosting several high profile events with top independent designers, each one featuring music and entertainment from emerging artists. His efforts to promote new talent in the arts is so extensive that one can only wonder where he finds the time to maintain his three massive business ventures as well.
Although the origins of Avi Oster lie in the surprisingly unassuming field of real estate development and business management, it did not take the entrepreneur long to branch out into more creative and distinctive ventures. Utilizing the resources provided by his initial success Oster was able to reach out and get involved in the fashion industry early on, notably supporting the rise of designer Catherin Fulmer and then recently welcoming her back from a two year hiatus with the much anticipated Southern Crawl event to spotlight her Fall 2011 Collection, featuring DJ Paul Sivigny and other celebrity figures.
His recent collaboration with Ne-Yo, called 360 Induce, may perhaps be the most indicative of the role Oster has grown to fill as a talent incubator and promoter. Originally billed as a networking event highlighting All of Me, the event was filled with performances and fashion from emerging artists, including soul singer Marla Joy, not to mention performances by the two Grammy winners Estelle and Ne-Yo themselves. With one evening and an intimate audience of 150 celebrities, city council members and other elites, Oster was able to offer emerging talent from the fashion, musical and fashion industries a whole new level of exposure.
